Marion B. Scott, 88, formerly of Raymondville

Marion B. Scott, 88, 110 Creekside Drive, Painted Post, formerly of Raymondville, passed away at her home early Wednesday morning, November 6, 2013.

Marion was born on September 23, 1925, in Massena, daughter of the late Glenn T. and Laura B. White Barnes. She was a graduate of Massena High School, Class of 1943. She attended the Wallace Secretarial School in Ogdensburg for one year. She married Donald H. Scott at the Potsdam Methodist Church on June 8, 1957, with Rev. Merle Brown officiating. Donald predeceased her on March 12, 1995.

She was a secretary first at the Mica Plant from 1944-1948, then she began working for Alcoa in 1949, where she continued until her retirement in 1979. Marion was a member of the Cretona Chapter Eastern Star #513, and a former member of the Massena Day Chapter Home Bureau, and of the 25 year club at Alcoa. Marion was active for many years at the Raymondville Methodist Church.

Marion is survived by her sister, Helen Foster of Birmingham, MI; several nieces and nephews, including Gary and Jerry Scott, Brian C. Scott, Bradley Scott, Peggy and Peter Montpetig, Robert and Carol Brown, Cathy and Eric Toeper, Mary and Bob Grady, Richard and Cindy Foster, Barbara and Pat Mortiz, and Cherie and Jack Maslowsky; and a cousin, Rita Crawford.

She was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Brown on February 9, 1995.

Friends may call Monday, 12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m., at the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Brendon J. Hardy officiating. Burial will follow at Bixby Cemetery, Norfolk.
