Funeral services for Marian A. Gardner, age 80, of St. Joseph’s Home, will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the Church of Epiphany in Sodus, NY at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Marion Cemetery in Marion. Arrangements are with Frary Funeral Home. Mrs. Gardner passed away on June 19, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Home.
Mrs. Gardner is survived by two daughters, Mary Jordaine of Raleigh, NC and Diane Murphy and her husband David of North Rose; four sons, Michael Gardner Jr. and his partner Bill Breitenbuecher of Morristown, Daniel Gardner and friend Patricia Glomboski, Timothy Gardner and his wife Patricia, and Terrance Gardner and his wife Kimberly of Marion; her husband, Michael Gardner; one sister, Ann Powers of Rochester; several grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Arleen Gardner of Marion.
She was predeceased by a sister, Edna Parks; and two brothers, Arthur and Richard Herzog.
Mrs. Gardner was born on January 5, 1930 in Rochester, the daughter of Arthur and Edna Shuler Herzog. She graduated from Rochester schools. She worked as a head waitress at Pennfield Country Club. In 2006 she moved to Ogdensburg.
Mrs. Gardner was a member of St. Gregory’s Roman Catholic Church and was an active member of Steven Ministry. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends and especially her grandchildren.
