Lois Premo Sparks, 50, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center in Ogdensburg.

There are no funeral services, and arrangements are with the Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur.

Lois was born November 2, 1961 in Canton, the daughter of John and Clara Robinson Premo. She graduated from Canton High School in 1979 and from Canton ATC with an associate's degree.

Lois worked in retail sales and for public schools as a teacher's aide and school bus driver. She enjoyed reading, bowling, playing cards and bingo, and adding to her thimble and unicorn collections.

Lois is survived by her two daughters, Janice and Robert Bureau of Little Chute, WI and Heather Sparks of Theresa; a grandson, Beau Bureau; her close friend, Lois Paquin of Lisbon; three brothers, John Premo of Wisconsin, Donald W. Premo of Brasher Falls and Michael Premo of Louisiana; four sisters, Kathy Upchurch of Minnesota, Mary Robert of Pierrepont, Susan Masters of Virginia and Debra McEathron of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

Lois was predeceased by her parents; and a brother, Matthew Premo who died at birth.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.
