Lenora A. Kellison, 92, of State Highway 56, passed away on April 5, 2013 at St. Regis Nursing Home in Massena, surrounded by her loving family.
Nora, as she was fondly known by, was born on May 22, 1920 in Massena the daughter of Jesse A. and Edna (Gaines) Tyo. She graduated from Massena High School in 1938. A marriage to Hubert Kellison ended in divorce after 38 years.
Nora was employed with Cornell's Dry Cleaners as a delivery driver for over ten years. She was a long time communicant of St. Raymond's Church, member of the Altar and Rosary Society, member of VFW Auxiliary where she was past president.
Nora enjoyed bowling in two different bowling leagues; she also enjoyed her vegetable garden and liked to do crafts and crocheting.
Nora's survivors include five sons and three daughter; Loren of Norfolk with whom she had resided, Gerald of GA., Michael (Gae) of Long Island, Patrick of Norfolk, Timothy (Melissa) Ellenville, Kathleen (Emmett) Fleury of Massena, Mary Donalda Beauboin of Massena, Theresa (Joe) LaBaff of Massena; many grandchildren; several great and great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles Tyo of Massena.
Memorial contributions may be made in Nora's memory to a charity of one's choice. Mass of Resurrection will be held on April 9, 2013 at St. Raymond's Church at 3:00 p.m. with Msgr. John R. Murphy presiding.
Interment will be in Visitation Cemetery. Friends and family may be received on Monday, April 8, 2013 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. at Phillips Memorial Home in Massena. Online condolences may be made to www.phillipsmemorial.com
