COLTON -- Lawrence C. Rousell Jr., 72, passed away in the early hours of Thursday, November 23rd, in Tarpon Springs, Florida, where he lived during the winter months.
Larry was born February 15, 1945 in Malone, NY, the son of Lawrence (Jigger) and Rita Rousell. He grew up in Constable, NY. Larry enjoyed a long career at Alcoa within security, as a shift foreman, and a safety trainer. Before working at Alcoa, he served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany.
Larry was active in AA and enjoyed dancing and playing cards, in addition to outdoor activities such as camping, archery, boating, and fishing. He was a very proud grandparent who would do just about anything that entailed spending time with his grandchildren.
Larry is survived by his wife, Judy, sons Sonny Rousell of Cazenovia, Jeff Rousell of Colton, a sister Susan Shea of Constable and brother, Roger Rousell of Dade City, FL. Larry also leaves seven grandchildren: Wilson, Hannah, Emma, Grace, Madeline, Claire, and Noah. He was predeceased by a son, Christopher, a brother, Art, and his parents, Lawrence and Rita.
There will be a Memorial Mass on Wednesday, November 29th at 10:00am at St Patrick’s Church in Colton, NY.
