Funeral services for 38- year-old Kimberly A. Barney, of Parishville, NY, will be held Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Potsdam United Methodist Church with Rev. James Barnes and Rev. Tom Nichols co-Pastoring. Burial will follow in the Sand Hill Cemetery in Dickenson, NY. Friends may call at the Seymour Funeral Home, in Potsdam on Wednesday, July 30, from 1 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. Kimberly died July 24, 2014 at Fletcher-Allen Medical Center, in Burlington, VT from injuries sustained in an automobile accident, which also claimed the life of her husband James E. Barney, II.
Survivors include her parents, Timothy and Charlene Randall of Parishville; a step-son, Conor Barney of Lisbon; a step-daughter, Kathryn Barney of Lisbon; three daughters, Kayla Bedore, Rebecca Colby, and Emily Colby of Parishville; two brothers, Elmer Randall of Hopkinton, and Brian Boyce serving in the U. S. Navy, and several aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces, and cousins.
Kimberly was born in Massena, September 18, 1975 the daughter of Timothy and Charlene (Murphy) Randall. She graduated from Parishville-Hopkinton Central School. She received an Associates Degree from SUNY Canton College. Kim began her working career at General Motors in Massena, and later became employed at the St. Lawrence County Department of Social Services in Canton.
She married James E. Barney II, on August 1, 2010 on the top of Whiteface Mountain on a beautiful summer’s day surrounded by family, friends, and God’s Dragonflies.
Time spent with family was Kimberly’s favorite pastime.
