Mr. Kenneth Regis, age 81, of Potsdam, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at the United Helpers ICF Home in Rensselaer Falls, where he had been a patient since March 14, 2012.
Funeral services will be held at the Garner Funeral on Saturday, November 23rd at 2 p.m. with Msgr. Robert Aucoin celebrant. Burial will follow the service at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Potsdam. Friends may call at the Garner Funeral Service on Friday, November 22nd from 4-7 p.m. Contributions in his memory can be made to the United Helpers ICF Wishbook Fund @ 207 Congress St. Rensselaer Falls, NY 13680.
Mr. Kenneth Regis was born August 4, 1932 in Potsdam, to the late Arthur J. Regis Sr. and Elizabeth Gaffney. He attended Potsdam Schools. He worked on local farms in the area for many years.
He is survived by his sisters, Violet Brady of Potsdam, Rose Brady and Barbara Gibson of Massena; nieces and nephews, Lois (Charles) Paquin, Patrick (Kelly) Brady, Lisa (Peter) Ames, Cindy Brady, Jim (Tammy) Brady, Lori (Joe) Zych, Carol Green, Jenn Gibson, Scott (Dawn) Gibson, Susan (Heath) Strickland, Erin Basford, Joel Regis and Brett Regis; and by many great nieces and nephews and all those who loved and cared for him at the Rensselaer Falls ICF and the Canastota IRA.
He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Elizabeth; brothers Arthur Regis Jr., Bernard Regis and Robert Regis; and his sisters, Helen Green and Dorothy Smith.
Kenneth loved collecting cars, fishing, country and blue grass music and tinkering with small engines.
