Funeral services for Karen A. LaPlatney, age 65, of Green St., Ogdensburg, will be held on November 29, 2010 at Frary Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. with Deacon Mark LaLonde officiating. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held on November 29, 2010 at Fray Funeral Home from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Mrs. LaPlatney passed away on November 22, 2010 at Canton Potsdam Hospital.
Mrs. LaPlatney is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Goodman of Ogdensburg; one son, Mark LaPlatney and his wife Ethel of R.I.; three brothers, Thomas Graveline and his wife Sue, Gary Graveline, and Christopher Graveline and his wife Debbie, all of Ogdensburg; two sisters, Holly McGaw of Carthage, N.C. and Melanie McDonald of Massena; three grandchildren, Christopher, Kalie and Noel; and three great grandchildren.
Mrs. LaPlatney was born on February 4, 1945 in Ogdensburg, the daughter of William Graveline and Mary LaLonde. She graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1962. She worked as a Nurse’s Aide at Hepburn Hospital.
Mrs. LaPlatney enjoyed going to garage sales and bingo.
