Funeral services for Judson W. Morley, age 83, of Lawrence Rd, Lisbon will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012 at 11a.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Ogdensburg with Deacon Arthur Garno and Rev. Robert E. Longbottom co-officiating. Committal prayers with military honors will follow the service at Foxwood Memorial Park Chapel.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, Nov. 5, 2012 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home. Mr. Morley passed away Friday Nov 2, 2012 at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center with his family by his side.
Surviving is his wife, Denise of Lisbon; a step-son, David Bowman & his wife Lisa of Pennellville; a step-daughter, Heather McArthur & her husband Justin of Phoenix, NY; four step-grandchildren Chloe Bowman, Julia Kazmark, Kaitlyn McArthur & Hannah McArthur; a brother John “Gunner” Morley Sr. & his wife Beverly of Ogdensburg; sisters, Joann Grenier of Ogdensburg and Judith Donnelly of Canton, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
Predeceasing him was a sister, Jacqueline Moncreif; half-brother, James ‘Cliff” McDermott; infant siblings, Pauline and Alan Morley and parents William and Margaret (Baker) Morley.
Judd was born on June 29, 1929 in Ogdensburg and graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy. He enlisted in the US Army during the Korean War from 1951 – 1956, and later married Denise M. Larabie on July 30, 2001. During his career he was employed as a construction worker on the Rutland Railroad and SUNY Canton for 26 years.
He was an active member in several community service agencies, including the American Legion, Am Vets, VFW, Lisbon & Morley Fire Departments, Fire Police, Special Olympics and was a Worden of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Waddington. He was significantly active and an important volunteer in several community events and activities.
