
A celebration of life service for Joseph H. Farrell, age 63 of Hammond, will be held on Sunday August 5th at 1:00 p.m. at The Turner Inn Restaurant on Route 58 in Morristown.
Mr. Farrell passed away at his home on Friday (July 27, 2012). Arrangements are with the Fox & Murray Funeral Home.
Surviving are three sisters and their husbands, Elaine and James Hunter of Ogdensburg, Sharron and Walter Fields of Lisbon, and Sue and Lee Berry of Adams; a brother, Peter Witherhead of Brier Hill; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
His wife Mary Beth Paul predeceased him on November 8, 2007.
Joe was born on May 6, 1949 in Ogdensburg, a son of the late Guy & Kathleen (Barkley) Farrell. He graduated from Hammond High School and entered the US Marine Corps in 1969 until 1975 when he received his honorable discharge.
During his career he was employed at Eastman Kodak in Rochester as a chemical distributor for several years and then relocated to Florida where he worked as a security guard until his retirement.
He was a member of the Black Lake Fish and Game Club, a life member of the NRA and a member of the local VFW. He enjoyed watching sports on TV, especially Syracuse Basketball.
