Jo-Ann L. Woodrow, 43, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2010 at University Hospital, Syracuse.
Jo-Ann was born August 7, 1967 in Gouverneur, the daughter of Lyle and Carol Dillingham Graves.
She graduated from Indian River Central School and received training as a certified nurses aide at BOCES. Jo-Ann worked at River Edge Resort, Alexandria Bay and as a home healthcare aide for several years for MEDLINK and Care Givers.
Jo-Ann enjoyed bowling, snowmobiling, shopping, and spending time with her family and out with her friends.
She was previously married to Randy Woodrow.
Jo-Ann is survived by her two daughters, Danielle Graves and her companion Chad Backus of Watertown, and Miranda Woodrow of Gouverneur; her mother, Carol Perry of Cottondale, AL; a granddaughter, Kyra Blair; four brothers, Karl “Beaver” Graves, Robert, Randy, and Kim Kerwin, all of Gouverneur; three sisters, Bonnie McEathron of Gouverneur, Kathleen Harrington of Syracuse, and Wilna Nolle of Gastonia, NC; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her father.
Calling hours are Saturday, November 27th from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 4:00 p.m. at the Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur with Rev. Dr. Wilfred Baez, pastor of the Gouverneur United Methodist Church officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the Gouverneur Vol. Rescue Squad or Gouverneur Vol. Fire Department.
