Funeral services for Jane Bjork, age 71, formerly of Riverview Towers, Ogdensburg will be held on Monday, March 4, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Notre Dame Church with Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery in the Spring. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Frary Funeral Home. Mrs. Bjork passed away Thursday afternoon, February 28, at River Ledge Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Bjork is survived by three daughters, Julie Bjork, Tammy Harradine and her husband, Daniel, and Bobbi Rae Lehnhardt and her companion, Chris Dehrberg, all of Ogdensburg; four grandchildren, Raena, Bianca, Kayli, and Nathan; three great grandchildren, Wyatt, Willow and Lillian; and her sister, Audrey Gagnon. She was predeceased by her grandson, Adam Bjork; four sisters, Patricia Adams, Dorothy Paro, Elaine Edwards and Joyce Adams; and two brothers, Robert and Richard Adams.
Mrs. Bjork was born on March 5, 1941 in Ogdensburg, the daughter of John and Marcelline Denno Adams. She graduated from OFA in 1961. She worked as a home health care provider. She also babysat for many families and was an Avon representative for many years. She married Robert Bjork on July 14, 1962 at Notre Dame Church with Rev. A.D. Charbonneau officiating. Robert passed away on November 7, 2010.
Mrs. Bjork was a member of the Red Hat Association and she taught Catholicism at Bishop Conroy School. She enjoyed playing Bingo, visiting with her friends and she took great pride in her Irish heritage.
