A Mass of Resurrection for Jan B. Zagrobelny, of the Durant Rd, Norfolk, will be held Thursday (October 14,2010) 12 noon at the Church of Sacred Heart with Rev Donald J. Manfred presiding. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Friends and family may call on Wednesday (October 13, 2010) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Phillips Memorial Home, Massena Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Catholic Endowment Fund.
Jan B. Zagrobelny died Monday morning (October 11, 2010) surrounded by family at the Massena Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Surviving Jan is his wife of 33 years, Debra; his mother, Jean Zagrobelny of Massena; two daughters, Jennifer L Zagrobelny of Tupper Lake, and Jessica L. Zagrobelny of San Francisco, CA; a son ,Justin B. Zagrobelny of Massena; a granddaughter, Taylor Ann Zagrobelny of Tupper Lake; a brother, Bronic Jr. of Orlando, FL; three sisters, Jill and Louis McKay of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Joan Zagrobelny of Newtown, CT and Jere Zagrobelny of Massena; and aunts, uncles, several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Born May 21, 1952 in Massena the son of Bronic and Jean ( Snelgrove) Zagrobelny. He graduated from Holy Family High School and an Automotive Vocational School in Missouri. He later attended BOCES in Norwood where he was certified as a Heating and Air Conditioning Technician. He married Debra Zagrobelny January 5, 1977 in Louisville, NY.
Mr. Zagrobelny owned and operated Zagrobelny HVAC for over 20 years. He was a life member of AMVETS post # 4. He enjoyed working on cars, computers and his pets.
