Funeral services for Jamie Alan Kennedy, 45, Ogdensburg will be Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church, with Rev. Lynn Sullivan officiating.
Burial will be in Ogdensburg Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Frary Funeral Home, 515 Caroline St.
A Masonic ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. during calling hours.
Jamie passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 21, 2015 due to an ATV accident.
Jamie is survived by four daughters, Elizabeth Louise Kennedy and her fiancé Dan McBath, Lexi Makayla Kennedy, Katelyn Taylor Kennedy and Isabella Rose Kennedy all of Ogdensburg; a son, Owen James Kennedy of Ogdensburg; his father and mother, John and Bette Kennedy of Ogdensburg; a granddaughter, Blake Elizabeth McBath; his companion, Mindy Lawton; four brothers, John Kennedy III, George Kennedy and his wife Nicole, Andrew Kennedy and his wife Ramona, and Matthew Kennedy all of Ogdensburg; one sister, Heather Kennedy of Ogdensburg; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jamie was born Dec. 27, 1969 in Ogdensburg, the son of John and Bette L. Bracy Kennedy.
He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1989 and also attended BOCES to study automotive. He first went to work for Performance Plus and Maple City Auto, then went to work for Don Brenno.
Later he and his brother John opened Kennedy Auto on Linden Street. At one time, Jamie also time worked at ALCOA. Until Jamie’s accident he worked construction for Doyle Builders.
Jamie loved the outdoors and hunting. He also enjoyed karaoke. Jamie was also a member of the First Baptist Church.
Memorial donations may be made for his children’s education, payable in Jamie’s memory, to New York 529 College Savings Plan, Reference: Jill Kennedy.
