James S. Jerome, 59, Ogdensburg, passed away July 2 at his home.
His memorial service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, July 8 at Notre Dame Church with Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating.
Arrangements are with Frary Funeral Home.
Jerome is survived by four daughters, Esther and Aaron Blanks of Canton, Carol, Athena, and Erin Pinson all of Lakeland, Fl.; two brothers, Michael of Ogdensburg and Harry Jerome, of Texas; two sisters, Melanie Dafoe and her husband, Lee, of Massena; and Carol Coutoure and her husband, Ramie, of Canada; his former wife, Jennie Jerome of Fl.; eleven grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Jerome was born Dec. 2, 1953 in Ogdensburg, the son of Harry and Mary Margaret LaJoy Jerome. He attended local schools.
He worked in the ship building industry for many years as a welder until he became disabled.
In his youth, he served as an altar boy at Notre Dame Church.
He enjoyed woodworking and working on cars as well as spending time on his computer and playing his guitar.
He will be missed by many.
