James O. Locy, 86, of Franklin Rd, Waddington, passed away Wednesday afternoon (August 27, 2014) at The Albany Medical Center, Albany.
There will be no public calling hours. A funeral service for Jim will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday September 9, 2014 at the Waddington United Methodist Church with Rev. David Piatt officiating. Burial will take place in Louisville Community Cemetery followed by a Celebration of Jim's Life luncheon at the Methodist Fellowship Hall, Waddington.
Jim is survived by his wife, Dorothy; stepchildren Janice and her husband Bill Arquiett of Waddington, and Dale Moulton of Aurora, CO; grandchildren, Robbie and Scott; great grandchildren, Jordan, Connor, Aiden and Reid; also several nieces and nephews.
Jim was predeceased by his beloved son, Jeffery; and grandson Timothy Arquiett.
Jim was born on November 7, 1927 in Canton the son of Sherman and Eva (Hall) Locy. Following his graduation from Oswego State with a BA in Industrial Arts he earned his Masters in Counseling. Jim taught for over 22 years, retiring from Massena Central High School as an Industrial Arts teacher. Jim married Dorothy (Cardwell) Moulton on April 21, 1972 in Louisville. They resided in Waddington most of their married life where Jim was very active in various community events. Those wishing to honor Jim’s memory may do so to a charity of one’s choice.
