Isabelle M. Backus, 86, of Ogdensburg, died, June 15, 2012, at River Ledge Health Care and Rehabilitative Facility. The Allen-Nichols Funeral Home, Ogdensburg is entrusted with arrangements.

A graveside service will be Tuesday, June 19th, 1:00 p.m. at the Pine Hill Cemetery, Eel Weir, with Reverend Norman Bice officiating.

Isabelle was born on January 21, 1926 in Ogdensburg, the daughter of Albert W. and Leila W. Stratton Backus. She was registered nurse at A. Barton Hepburn Hospital 1949-1951 and then she was a nurse at the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center until her retirement in 1979.

Isabelle was a member of the First United Methodist Church and PET Union.
