Retired Army Special Forces Sgt. 1st Class Gerald Ernest Goodspeed Jr., 74, of Fayetteville, died Friday, June 1, 2012.

He is survived by sons, Gerald III, Roy and Chuck; brothers, Maynard, Mick, Larry and Charles; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are with the Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service & Crematory of Fayetteville.
