Georgie June, 88, formerly of the Quarry Road and Hailesboro, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2012 at the Kinney Nursing Home, Gouverneur.

A graveside service for family and friends will be held Wednesday, May 16th at 2:00 p.m. in Garrison Cemetery, Pitcairn with Rev. Howard Maxson, pastor of the Fowler Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are with the Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur.

Georgie was born February 22, 1924 in Pitcairn, the daughter of Everett and Florence Ralph McIntosh. She attended Harrisville schools and was a homemaker most of her life. Georgie enjoyed cooking and gardening, especially flowers. Georgie married Lyle D. June on December 24, 1944 at the Gouverneur Baptist Church parsonage. Lyle, a retired employee of Diamond International, passed away August 29, 1996.

Georgie is survived by four sons, Michael June of Spokane, WA, Patrick June of Virginia Beach, VA, Gerry June of Fort Myers, FL and Steven June of Gouverneur; three daughters, Sherrill Walton of Hailesboro, Kathy Clement of Antwerp and Laura Jackson of Gouverneur; 14 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren; four brothers, Joe, Paul, Calvin, and Matt McIntosh, all of Harrisville; two sisters, Marian Lang and Martha Shampine, both of Carthage; and many nieces and nephews.

Georgie was predeceased by five brothers, Harold, Hank, Gene, Roz, and John McIntosh; and two sisters, Evelyn Vrooman and Genice McIntosh.
