MASSENA -- Funeral services for Garth J. Euto age 79, formerly of Randall Drive, will be held Saturday, March 25, 2017 10:00 a.m. at Ramblewood Park in Zephyrhills, FL.
A graveside services will be held in Massena Center Cemetery at the convenience of the family in the summer.
Garth passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 15, 2017 surrounded by his loving family at Gulfside Regional Hospice in Zephyrhills, FL.
Garth was born to the late Ralph and Ruby (Kirkey) Euto in Massena, on January 21, 1938.
He was a graduate of Massena High School and worked throughout his young adulthood at Smith’s Meat Market.
Garth married his loving bride, Sylvia Giovannone on December 27, 1958 at St. Patrick’s Church in Brasher Falls with Msgr. Herbert Hannon officiating.
He began work at ALCOA and retired after 32 years of service in 1999 as a crib attendant. He was a member of the 25yr Club at ALCOA and was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Massena.
Garth also belonged to the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge # 1110 He was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors.
Garth is survived by his wife of nearly 59 years, Sylvia; daughters, Cynthia and husband, Philip Delnero of Virginia Beach, VA, Samantha Kormanyos of Massena; sons, Kevin and wife, Dana of Massena and Craig and wife, Maxine of Triangle, VA; nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; sister, Penny Buckley of Arkansas; a brother, Peter Euto of Richfield, NC; along with several nieces and nephews.
Garth was predeceased by a daughter, Terrilyn Euto; his sister, Gay Garris; brother, Duane Euto; and son in-law, Mark A. Kormanyos.
