Calling hours for Gail G. Kerr, age 68, of Lisbon, will be held Wednesday (Oct 23, 2013) from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home, Ogdensburg. Graveside services will be held at the Gates Cemetery in Edwards at a time to be determined. Gail passed away Sunday (Oct 20, 2013) at the Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center Emergency Room.
Surviving is her son, Alden Kerr and his wife Amanda of Ellenburg Center; three grandchildren, Alden, Aubrey and Alexis Kerr; her companion, Robert Pittman of Lisbon; a brother, Jon Hall of Harrisville; a sister, Mary Manchester of Carthage; a good friend, Shirley Todd of Lisbon; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Gail was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Gale; and a brother, Erwin “Sonny” Hall.
She was born on January 1, 1945 in Edwardsville, a daughter of the late Erwin & Florence (Rice) Hall. She graduated from Edwards Central School in 1962 and later married Gale Kerr.
During her career, she was employed at the Newton Falls Paper Company, Clifton-Fine Hospital, St. Lawrence County Public Health, Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, The Richville Clinic and the Canton-Potsdam Hospital where she retired from in 2003 as their office manager.
Gail was a former member of OES Chapter 194, the Ogdensburg Senior Citizens Club and the Heuvelton Labor Day Committee. She enjoyed reading, traveling, going to auctions and spending time with her grandchildren.
