Funeral services for Floyd H. Taylor, age 91, of Ogdensburg, will be held on Thursday at Frary Funeral Home at 1:00 a.m. Burial will be in Inham Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Mr. Taylor passed away on Saturday (October 2, 2010) at United Helpers Nursing Home.
Mr. Taylor is survived by three daughters, Sharon Taylor of Florida, Wanda (Murray) Graveline of Florida, and Waneta Bristol of Georgia; a brother, Lawrence Taylor of Hammond; and seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Taylor was born on April 26, 1919 in Brier Hill, the son of Edwin R. Taylor and Ida Northup. He attended schools. He married Valida Cutway on August 31,1940 Floyd was a farmer on Sand St. in Brier Hill for many years, and sold John Deere equipment at Robinson and Sons on Black Lake.
Mr. Taylor was an avid hunter and enjoyed the sport along with his wife for many years. He was a member of the Hunyots Club on Spruce Mountain. He also enjoyed reading.
