Funeral Services for Felipe Tanglao, age 64, of Brooklyn, will be held on Friday, February 15, 2013 at St. Mary’s Cathedral at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Joseph Morgan officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Frary Funeral Home. Mr. Tanglao passed away on February 11, 2013 at Four Seasons Nursing and Rehab in Brooklyn.
Mr. Tanglao is survived by his wife, Endencita; his four children, Edelliana Margaret (Meg), Maria Fatima (Faye), Matthew Christopher (Matt) and Mark (Marky) all of Brooklyn; his three sisters, Teresita Capitulo and her husband Edwin of Brooklyn, Louordes Tanglao of Queens, and Mae Baildon of Ogdensburg; his brother, Joseph Tanglao and his wife Amanda of Huston, TX; and many nieces and nephews.
Philip was predeceased by his brothers, Jesus Tanglao in 2012, Edgar Tanglao in 1966, and Charlie Tanglao in 1989; and his brother in law, Richard Baildon in 2009.
Mr. Tanglao was born on May 26, 1948 in the Phillippines, the son of Pociano and Emiliana Cura Tanglao. Felipe entered Divine Word Seminary, Christ the King Seminary at the age of eleven. He later entered the Major Seminary at Tagaytay City in the Philippines. Felipe then went on to Potsdam State University of NY for his Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Political Science. He taught at St. Paul’s College in Quezon City in the Philippines, Central Luzon State University in the City of Muñoz, Philippines, Assumption College in San Fernando, Pampanga, Philippines, Caliber School of Business in Manhattan, New York and the Franklin Career Institute in Brooklyn, New York.
