
Funeral services for 82 year old Ellen A. Norman, a resident of Baldwin Acres, Norwood, and formerly of Parishville, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Colton with Rev. Msgr. Harry Snow, presiding. Burial will be held in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Colton. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Colton on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mrs. Norman passed away early Tuesday morning at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
Ellen is survived by her husband, Walter, Norwood; five sons, Allan and Miyoko Norman, Sierra Vista, Arizona, Walter and Gloria Norman, Marion, Ronald Norman, Rochester, Richard and Deborah Norman, Star Lake and Kenneth and Barbara Norman, Madrid; her two daughters, Elaine Norman, Sierra Vista, Arizona and Barbara and Thomas Dumas, Madrid; twenty grandchildren and twenty seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Arnold Wright, Hannawa Falls, Edwin and Arlene Wright, South Colton and Jerry Wright, Star Lake; two sisters, Connie Taylor, Canton and Susan and Art Clark, Pawling; her sister-in-law, Alta Wright, Colton; and several nieces and nephews.
Ellen was pre-deceased by her son, Rodney Norman in 1987; a great-grandson, Kyle Norman; her brother, Patrick Wright; and a sister; Mildred Fuller.
She was born in Potsdam on September 30, 1929 to the late Clarence and Flora Crump Wright. She married Walter J. Norman on August 14, 1947. Ellen was a homemaker who enjoyed knitting, crocheting, needle work and loved flowers. Memorial Donations can be made to Hospice and Palliative Care.
