Mr. Edward W. Morse Sr., age 83, of Norfolk passed away on Monday, August 5, 2013 at his daughter’s residence in the town of Stockholm. There will be a memorial luncheon at the American Legion in Norfolk, NY on Wednesday, August 7th at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory can be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley or to the Potsdam Humane Society. There will be a burial at a later date at the Riverside Cemetery in Norwood. Online condolences can be sent at www.garnerfh.com.
Edward is survived by his daughters, Sandra (Bryan) Brooks, Barbara Robbins, and Patricia (Patrick) Arduine; his sons, Edward (Kris) Morse, Frederick Charles (Julie) Morse, Jerry Morse and Philip (Joe Hennigan) Morse; 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; half sisters Sally Stevens, Susie Rouselle and Stephanie Stark; and his companion’s children, Carol (David) Veecher and Buddy (Debbie) Graves.
Edward was predeceased by his companion, Myrt Graves; a grandchild, Michelle Lee Brooks, a great grandchild, Anna Theresa Snell; his parents, Frederick and Grace Morse; and a son in law, Harry Robbins.
Mr. Edward W. Morse Sr. was born on November 22, 1929 in Potsdam, to the late Frederick W. Morse and Grace Mae Greenwood. He was a graduate of Potsdam Schools. Mr. Morse worked for years for the Local 322 Laborer’s Union out of Massena. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, traveling, going to the Casino and the McDonald’s Coffee Club in Potsdam. He had a marriage to Beverly Daggett that ended in divorce.
