Donna M. Lefeve, 84, of County Route 39 passed away on Feb. 18, 2014 at the Highland Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. Friends and family may be received on Feb. 20, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Phillips Memorial Home in Massena.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Feb. 21, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence Church in Louisville with Rev. Jack Downs presiding. Interment will be held in the spring in the parish cemetery.
Donna was born on Feb. 17, 1930 in Louisville, the daughter of Clarence and Ozelma (Mitchell) Belile. She married Gerald M. Lefeve on September 30, 1950 at St. Lawrence Church with Rev. Wilfred Nugent presiding. Mr. Lefeve predeceased her on June 22, 1992. She graduated from Massena High School. Donna was a sales clerk at Kennedy Shoe Store for many years. Prior to working at Kennedy Shoe store, she worked at JC Penny and Altamont. She was a member of the Alter Rosary Society of St. Lawrence Church, and the Women's Auxiliary of Louisville Fire Department; she enjoyed knitting and doing crafts.
She is survived by a son, Daniel and Cheryl of Massena; four grandchildren, Michelle (David) Woodworth, of Ontario, Jennifer Lefeve of Highland, Jeremy Lefeve of Massena, and Jordan (Richard) Barlow of Watertown; four great grandchildren, Dillon, Nicole, Mathew Woodworth and Camden Barlow; a sister, Claudette "Sally" Gleason; and brothers Herbert Belile, and Mitchell Belile; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, Gerald M. Jr; and sisters June Jacob, Darlena Currier, and Zelda Ezard.
