MASSENA -- Dolores Albert, age 83 of Andrews St. passed away on Tuesday evening, Jan. 9, 2018 at the Highland Nursing, surrounded by her loving family. There will be no public calling hours. Graveside service will be held in Calvary Cemetery in the spring.
Dolores was born on July 25, 1934 in Syracuse, the daughter of Erwin and Catherine (Crane) Johnson. She graduated from Jordon-Albridge School in 1952. On July 16, 1955 she married James Albert in Syracuse. In her younger years, she was a stay at home mom and raised her children, she later went to work at the St. Regis Nursing Home as a Nurses Aid for several years. Dolores enjoyed trips to the casino and talking to family and friends on the phone, but she most enjoyed the time spent with her grandchildren.
She is survived by six children, Sue and husband Vern Putney of Baldwinsville, Ginny and Mike Derouchie of Brasher Falls, Eddy Albert of Rochester, Debbie and David King of Webster, TX, Judy Albert of Massena and Michael and Julie Albert of Massena; two guardian children, Steven and Cindy Follett of Massena, and Vilas and Paula Follett of Brushton; eight grandchildren, Jimmy Putney, Joshua, Jessica, and Justin King, Cory and Jordon Wilkins, Brandon and Morgan Albert; three great grandchildren, Kate and Theo King, and Rowan Wilkins; a sister, Lucile Chapel of Baldwinsville; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, James; and a brother, Charles Johnson.

The family would like to thank the staff at the HIghland Nursing Home for the excellent care their mother received.
