Constance Anne Howe, 84, formerly of Watertown, passed away Monday morning at the River Ledge Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, Ogdensburg, where she had been a longtime resident.
Constance was born in Watertown January 10, 1928, a daughter to Oronzio and Genevieve Vernachio Masiello. She was educated locally. She married Orrie J. Howe on September 20, 1952 in Sackets Harbor, NY. Mr. Howe died on January 22, 1971.
Constance worked as a librarian at the Watertown Public Library, and as a homemaker to her family. More recently, she was a lunchroom monitor for the Watertown City School District at Starbuck Elementary.
Survivng are a son and daughter-in-law: Joseph (Tammy) Howe, Ogdensburg; 2 grandchildren: Travis and Eric Howe, Ogdensburg; and a great-grandchild: Travus Howe.
Besides her husband, she was pre-deceased by 2 brothers, Nick & Tony Masiello.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, October 24, 2012, 1-3pm at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, Watertown. The funeral service will precede the calling hours at 3pm with Father Steven Murray officiating. Burial will take place in Glenwood Cemetery following the service.
