Colbert "Bert" E. Bradley, 72, Massena, passed on Oct. 18 at his home under the loving care of his family and Hospice.
Bert was born Mar. 18, 1940 in Madrid, the son of Everett and Isabel (Colbert) Bradley. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1963-1968. Following his discharge he started work at Watson's Chevrolet in Madrid and later was employed at Massena Water-Sewage Department, as an operator.
He married Barbara Smith Apr. 20, 1968 at St. Lawrence church with Rev. George Tobin presiding. Bert was a member of the American Legion Post #79, Louisville Volunteer Fire Department. He coached Louisville Minor Hockey, along with being a volunteer.
His survivors include his wife Barbara; a daughter Denise and Joe Lunduski of Romulus; and a son Paul and Jessie Bradley of Cicero; five grandchildren, Theresa, Eva, Allison, Matthew and Bridget; a brother Bill Bradley of Potsdam; two step brothers, Howard Cloce of Morley, and Ed Cloce of Canton; and a step sister, Sharon Dawley of Lisbon.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley or to Louisville Volunteer Fire Department.
The Funeral Mass will be held on Oct. 23 at St. Lawrence Church in Louisville with Rev. Donald J. Manfred presiding. Interment will follow in Madrid Cemetery at 2 p.m. with full military honors. There will be no calling hours.
