LTC ret. Clark J. Bailey II, age 73, of Boca Raton, Florida and formerly of Potsdam, passed away suddenly on July 5, 2010 at the Canton- Potsdam Hospital. There will be a memorial service held on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 10 a.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church with Dr. Christopher Brown celebrant.

Clark is survived by his wife, Phyllis R. Bailey; two sons, Kevin (Ann) Bailey and Steven (Yolanda) Bailey; and two granddaughters, Therese and Ashley Bailey.
Mr. Bailey was born August 10, 1936 in Binghamton to Clark J. Bailey I and Lena Impero. He was a 1954 graduate of Binghamton High School and a 1958 graduate of West Point Academy. On June 7, 1958 at Trinity Church in Binghamton he married Phyllis R. Roehm. He served twenty years in the Army Signal Corp, the last five in the Army ROTC at Clarkson University. He retired from the United States Army with twenty years of service. He then continued at Clarkson University as the Assistant to the President 15 years until his final retirement in 1993.
Clark was dedicated to his church, both here and in Florida. He served as “Verger” at St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church in Boca Raton , FL. He enjoyed playing golf, was very active in the Rotary Club, both in Potsdam and Florida, a member of the Masons, and a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Potsdam. He served for several years on the Board of the Potsdam Hospital and then volunteered for many years at the Boca Raton Community Hospital.
