
Charles Fredrick Armstrong, 95, formerly of North Bangor, passed away Wednesday, June 5, at the Alice Hyde Nursing Home where he had been a resident since July 15, 2008.
Arrangements are with the Flint Funeral Home, Moira.
Charles was born March 15, 1917, in Hopkinton, the son of the late Charles Franklin & Lillian (Lashua) Armstrong. March 19, 1940 he united into marriage with Reva G. Stoddard, Reva predeceased him August 1985. Early in life Charles worked at Alcoa, however for over 30 years he owned and operated his own dairy farm in North Bangor.
His children Jerry Armstrong of Lancaster, PA, Cheryl (Ronald) Jock of Brushton, Maxine (Bill) Hammill of Bombay, and Edward Armstrong and his companion Missy Skyner of Brushton and a daughter-in-law Nancy of Brushton survive Charles. Also surviving him are his grandchildren Jayson & Desiree Armstrong, Christopher & Lynn Jock, Joshua & Heather Jock, Nicholas Jock, Heather Armstrong, Charles & Karen III Armstrong, Zack Armstrong, Jeremiah, & Temecca, Jesse, Jenelle Rust; great grandchildren, Joey, Caleb, Samantha, Mercedes & Brandon Jock, Patience Jock, Tarin Jock, Jericho Jock, Hayleigh Armstrong and Sophia Rust, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A son Charles F. Armstrong Jr and two sisters Agnes and Deliah predecease him.
Charles and Reva were members of the Moon Shine Square Dancing Club. Together they promenaded all over the USA, Canada and Hawaii.
The family of Charles is requesting memorial contributions in his honor to be made to the Brushton Adult Center
Family and friends may call at the funeral home Monday, June 11, from 10-12. Charles’s funeral service will celebrated at 12 noon, with Rev. Eleanor Bellows presiding. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery Brushton.
