Charles Corkins Jr., 48, of Ogdensburg, died September 22, 2010, at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center, Allen-Nichols Funeral Home, Ogdensburg, in care of arrangements. A graveside service will be Friday, September 24, 2010, 2:00 p.m. at Notre Dame Cemetery, Reverend Father James Shurtleff, officiating.
Charles is survived by his son, Charles B. Corkins III, Ogdensburg; his former wife, Denise Lumbard, Ogdensburg; brothers Brett and Dawn Corkins, and Jason Corkins and companion Kara Gleeson, Ogdensburg; sisters Dawn and David Wells, Colleen Corkins, Ogdensburg, and Julie Corkins, Sharon, CT; a great aunt, Beverly Stull, Ogdensburg; and several nieces and nephews.
He was born June 13, 1962, in Ogdensburg, the child of Charles and Judith Spaman Corkins. He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1980. He was a direct care provider at NYSARC in Canton, and enjoyed taking care of his clients. Prior to that he was an office manager at Corkins Built Up Roofing and Ogdensburg and Gouverneur Correctional Facilities. He loved visiting with family and friends, he also loved animals.
