Carol A. Palmer, 70, of 19 Talcott Street, passed away quite unexpectedly on Saturday, November 13, 2010, at Massena Memorial Hospital.
Carol was born October 17, 1940, in Potsdam, the daughter of Reginald F. and Kathleen G. Manchester Palmer. She graduated from Massena High School and was employed as a proof reader for Associated Reporters, Massena. Carol also served as an insurance agent for Foy Insurance Co. in Hooksett, NH before returning to Massena. Earlier in life, Carol loved camping, boating, and singing around the campfire. Later, she enjoyed reading and watching figure skating. She was a member of the Lions Club in Massena and the Grandmother’s Club.
Carol will truly be missed by her mother, Kathleen, Massena; her twin children, daughter Laurie and David Flanders of Weare, NH and son Stephen Palmer of East Hampton, CT; her second daughter, Janet Poulin of Manchester, NH; and six grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her father, Reginald F. Palmer, on April 4, 1999; and a sister, Elaine, who died at the age of six months.
Friends may call at the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, Wednesday, November 17, from 12 noon to 2 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Jeffrey V. Aiosa officiating. Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Dickinson Center, NY.
