Carol A. Earl, 69, of Ogdensburg, died, May 15, 2012, at her home, Allen-Nichols Funeral Home, Ogdensburg, entrusted with arrangements. Calling hours will be Sunday, May 20th, 2 – 4 and 6 - 8 p.m., the funeral service will be May 21st, 9:00 a.m., at the funeral home, Reverend Father James Shurtleff officiating. Burial will follow in Ogdensburg Cemetery.

Carol is survived by her son, Dale (Synda) Earl of Ogdensburg; daughter Cathy (Kent) Pliner of Ogdensburg; grandchildren, Brian Earl, Shannan Earl (Chris Wiggins), Autumn Katura (Andrew VanLew), Holly Pliner (Joseph Law) and Justin Katura; great grandchildren, Trent Katura, and Isabell Earl; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Pribble; sisters, Barbara Deno and Sandra Fincham.

She was born March 21, 1943, the daughter of Lester and Ester Recore Pribble. She graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1961 and then married Earl Mansel on July 8, 1961 in Ogdensburg, he predeceased her on April 14, 2011.

Carol was an activities aide at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home. She loved her family and crafting. Contributions can be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley.
