Bruce A. Tamblin, 71, of Central Square, died Friday, after a long illness, with family by his side.
Born to Ruth Aurelio on June 13, 1941 in Gouverneur, Bruce was raised by his Uncle and Aunt, Roger and Phyllis Tamblin, and six beautiful cousins. He was a Mason/Contractor and spent his career in the construction industry. Bruce was an avid gardner who also loved to fish, golf, cook, and follow SU football and basketball.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, the former Marty Russell; children Janie (Phil) Connery of Homer, John (Ivy) Tamblin of Danville, PA, Patti (Charles) Stringer of Constantia, Melissa (Cris) Staats of Brewerton, and Andrea (James) Carroll of Baldwinsville; grandchildren Lindsey, Ben, Will, Jack, Lucy, Hannah, Aurora, Gabriel, Quinn, Drew, Rachael, and Noah; and great grandchildren Molly and Maggie.
Bruce will be missed by all, including his loving dogs Merlin and Stella.
Funeral services are Tuesday, 6 p.m. at Traub Funeral Home, 684 N. Main St., Central Square. Calling hours will be Tuesday, 3 to 6 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
