Brad L. Finley, Sr., age 60, Waddington/Oswegatchie, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015 at his home in Waddington. Brad is a former resident of Oswegatchie and Delaware.
Calling hours will be at French Family Funeral Home, Star Lake, on Friday, June 26, 2015 from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. immediately followed by a committal service with military honors in the Oswegatchie Cemetery. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.
Brad was born on July 11, 1954 in Ogdensburg to the late Robert “Red” and Marilyn (Hoverson) Finley. He served in the United States Army in Germany during the Vietnam War.
Brad married Patricia A. Paro on May 23, 1972. He worked as a self employed over the road trucker until his retirement in 2000. Brad enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an RC Pilot advocate. He was a member of the American Model Aviation and loved the company of his cats, Buddie, Manny, and Marble. If you knew Brad you would know his last words would likely be, “Is the coffee on?”
Brad is survived by his wife, Patricia; a daughter and son-in-law, Bobbie Jo and Kelvin Boggs; two sons, Brad Finley, Jr. and Blayne Finley; a sister, Dale Finley; and a brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Debbie Finley. He is also survived by five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Brad is predeceased by a son, Brian John Finley and a brother, Brian James Finley.
