Bonnie L. LaPoint, 71, Potsdam passed away March 29 while under the care of her family and Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley.
A mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, April 2 at St. Mary’s Church in Potsdam at 10 a.m. with Msgr. Robert Aucoin as celebrant.
Burial will follow in the spring at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Potsdam.
There will be private calling hours for the family.
Contributions in her memory may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley or to the Cancer Center at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital.

Bonnie is survived by her husband Leo H. LaPoint; her mother Virginia LaBrake; sons Brad, Michael and Peter (Tammy) LaPoint; daughters Tracy (Dale) Champion and Kimberly Pryce; brothers Tommy and John (Belinda) LaBrake; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her father Edward LaBrake.
Bonnie L. LaPoint was born July 20, 1941 in Potsdam to Edward and Virginia Daniels LaBrake.
She was a 1959 graduate of Potsdam Central High School.
On February 27, 1960 Bonnie was married to Leo H. LaPoint.
Bonnie loved raising her 5 children. Her family was the most important thing to her.
She loved dancing, traveling and especially taking photos of family and friends.
