Betsy M.Trepanier, 70, passed away Saturday (September 22, 2012) at Massena Memorial Hospital. Funeral Arrangements are with the Flint Funeral Home, in Moira.

Betsy was born January 16, 1942 in Westville, the daughter of the late Victor & Florida (Dame) Fleury. She was educated at Salmon River Central School, and married Richard Trepanier on May 10, 1958. For over twenty-five years, she was employed at the Mohawk Bingo Palace.

She is survived by her children, Dicky and Sue Trepanier of Huntingdon, Que., Brenda and Jim Harkins of Florida, Johnny Trepanier of Cote Du Lac,Que., Michael Trepanier of Montreal,Que., Garry Trepanier of Huntingdon, Que, Lyne Trepanier and Wendel Goundrey of Huntingdon, Que, Chantal and Jason LaMay of Florida, and James Trepanier and Kim Tannahill of Hinchinbrook,Que.; 18 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and her siblings, Edith Horner of Syracuse, James Fleury of Warners and Lorraine (George) Moore of Phoenix.

Besides her parents, her daughter, Pamela; and a brother, Arthur Fleury predeceased Betsy.

Although miles apart, she always kept in contact with her children everyday, to share whatever things might have happened that day. Although she said wrestling may have not been her favorite sport, she watched it anyway, to voice her opinion, with her brother James. However, when Betsy wanted to relax, you could find her listening to her favorite radio station CKON 97.3 while indulging in a good book or a night on the town to play bingo.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Flint Funeral Home, Moira on Saturday (Sept 29, 2012) from 1-3 p.m. The family has requested that you please came dressed very casual, the ONLY way Betsy would have wanted it.

In lieu of floral offerings, the family has requested that monetary donations be made in her honor to the Betty Riel Fund, 46 Wellington, Huntingdon, Quebec, J0S 1H0. (All donations go to helping / assisting local cancer patients)
