Augustus “Gus” Molnar, 91, Austintown, Ohio, and formerly of Chase Mills, passed away June 14, 2012, at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights, Ohio.

He was born June 2, 1921, in Norfolk, son of the late John and Magdolna Molnar.

Originally a farmer, he then spent 27 years working for GM, which brought the family to Ohio in 1966. Mr. Molnar retired from the GM Lordstown plant in 1987.

Survivors include his loving wife of 70 years, Dorothy “Dot;” children John Molnar of Fayetteville, Bill (Nancy) Molnar of E. Syracuse, Gene (MaryAnne) Molnar of Ormond Beach, Fla., Marilyn (Jim) Dubeansky of Mentor, Richard Molnar of Hamilton, David (Tracy) Molnar of Hudson, (where he and Dot have lived for the past six months) and Anthony (Tammie) Molnar of Mineral Springs; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and brothers Peter Molnar and George (Iva Jean) Molnar.

He was preceded in death by two grandchildren; seven brothers; and two sisters.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Church of the Visitation, 3 Morris St., Norfolk, 13667.

Family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday at the church.

Interment will be at Visitation Cemetery, Norfolk, NY.
