Anne M. S. Dillon, formerly of Ogdensburg, passed into the arms of the Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010, with her loving family around her.
A Mass of Christian burial will be offered Saturday, Oct. 16, at 12 noon at St. Therese' Catholic Church in Newcomb.
Friends may call at the Edward L. Kelly Funeral Home Schroon Lake, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. till noon at St. Therese Church in Newcomb.
She is survived by her sister, Margaret (Peg) Amo, Her sister-in-law, Raymonde Shollette; her son, Mark and daughter-in-law, Debbie and grandchildren, Blake, Tyler and Lauren; her daughter, Mary Anne and son-in-law, Tony Bush, her grandchildren, Rachel, Jordan and Dillon Thomas, her daughter, Mary Jane and her grandson, Logan, her son, Michael and her grandsons, Cole, Jack, and Luke. She is also survived by an abundance of nieces and nephews and many extended family members.
Anne was predeceased by her husband, Edward Thomas Dillon, her son, Mathew Thomas Dillon and her brother, Allen Edward Shollette.
She was born on Feb. 27, 1936, in Ogdensburg.
She graduated from St. Mary's Academy and Hepburn School of Nursing.
Anne was the youngest daughter of Edward and Margurite Madlin Shollette, and grew up in Ogdensburg. Having met the love of her life, Edward Thomas Dillon, she transitioned from the St. Lawrence Valley to Newcomb, the heart of the Adirondacks, in 1956, to start their lives together.
By 1969, Tom and Anne were proud parents of five children. Anne was the dedicated and beloved nurse who served the community professionally and spiritually for more than 30 years.
After retirement, Anne volunteered for numerous associations and enjoyed spending time with her 10 grandchildren. Faith, family and friends were everything to her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
