A Mass of Resurrection services for Anna Catanzarite, Jefferson Ave. will be held Tuesday, June 22, at 10 a.m. at St Mary's Church with Rev Michael Gaffney presiding.

Friends and family may be received on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Phillips Memorial Home, Massena,. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Mrs. Catanzarite died Thursday morning, June 17, at her home surrounded by her beloved family and hospice.

Anna Catanzarite is survived by two daughters, Phoebe Treers, and Mrs. William (Beatrice) Hurley; and a son, Frank Catanzarite, all of Massena; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Domenico Jermano, Massena.

She was predeceased by three children, John A. in 1924, another son, John N. in 1985, and Mary in 2007.

Mrs Catanzarite was born April 13, 1902, in Plati, Italy, the daughter of Giovanni and Maria (Pangallo) Jermano. Following her marriage to Antonio Catanzarite on July 13, 1921 in Plati, Italy they settled in Massena.

Mr. Catanzarite predeceased her in 1953.

Mrs Catanzarite was a lifetime communicant of St. Mary's Church, St. Mary's Choir, League of the Sacred Heart of St. Mary's, L.C.B.A. Legion of Mary and the Italian -American Club.

For many years Mrs Catanzarite knitted bandages for the leper colonies, She enjoyed cooking, baking bread, especially Easter Bread for her family and friends.

She was a wonderful person loved by all.
