Angel Venier, 43, of The Woodlands, TX, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX after a courageous battle with cancer.
Angel was born on June 26, 1970, in Massena, the daughter of Chester Holmes and Sharon Lauber Bell. She was a graduate of Massena Central High School in 1988. Angel was married to Jason Venier on September 8, 2001 in Lake Placid.
As a stay at home mom over the past 8 years, Angel has shown her boys unwavering love and devotion. She received some of her most enjoyment in her life by giving her creative hand crafted gifts and treats to her family, friends and animals. She loved nature, photography and especially her animals – Scout (German Shepard), Nikon (Siamese Cat) and Formidable “For Me” (Selle Français Horse).
Angel had an amazing connection with so many people throughout her life - many of whom have been inspired by her strength, courage, generosity and uplifting spirit.
Angel is survived by her beloved husband, Jason Venier; their two loving children, Torin Venier (age 8) and Colt Venier (age 4); her mother, Sharon Bell of Massena; her father, Chester Holmes of Massena; her brothers, Dorian Ryan of Plattsburgh and Donald Eurto, Jr. of Massena; six nephews and three nieces; and a host of loving extended family and friends.
Friends may call at the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, on Friday, February 21, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Sacred Heart with Rev. Jack L. Downs, celebrating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Angel's memory may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
