Andrew S. Kish, 88, Winthrop

Mr. Andrew S. Kish, 88, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2013 at his home where he was under the care of his family and Hospice. Andy served in the US Navy in the Pacific Theatre during World War II aboard the LST576 from 1943 to 1946. He retired from the St. Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation in 1985.

He is survived by his wife, Alberta E. “Betty”; his daughters, Viki (Jim) Christensen of Oregon and Vida (Chris) Ehrman of Winthrop; his son, Matthew Kish also of Winthrop; grandchildren and great grandchildren; and his sister, Valeria (Robert) Servage of New Hartford. Andy was predeceased by his brothers, John and Joseph Kish; and his sisters, Helen Kish in infancy, Anna Aiken and Margaret Dunbar.

As per his request, services were held privately at Calvary Cemetery, Massena. If one so wishes, contributions may be made to the Tri-Town Rescue Squad or the Massena Humane Society.
