CANTON -- St. Lawrence University’s Performance and Communication Arts Informal Lecture Series will present Sharrell Luckett, visiting assistant professor of performance and communication arts, at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, in the Peterson-Kermani Performance Hall. Luckett will discuss her weight loss journey and her entry into fat studies and embodiment theory, which resulted in her solo performance, “YoungGiftedandFat.” Luckett will be joined by Guy Thorne, media designer and choreographer of “YoungGiftedandFat” as well as artistic director of FuturPointe and former principal dancer with Garth Fagan Dance, which choreographed “The Lion King.” Info: www.sdluckett.com/index.html.
