WINTHROP -- The Winthrop American Legion recently honored one of their members for 70 years of membership.
Paul Compeau was a U.S. Army Air Corps aero engineer and crew chief in World War II. He flew C-46s and C-47s.
He logged 1,100 hours of air time, 400 of which were in combat missions over New Guinea and the Phillipines.
