POTSDAM – Construction on the two Maple Street bridges will require a cutoff of water to Fall Island Thursday.
The village Department of Public Works says the water service will be suspended for four or five hours beginning at 7 a.m.
As a result, other areas of the village might have low water pressure or discoloration of water. DPW said that allowing the water to run should eliminate the discoloration.
Those with questions may call DPW at 265-4620.
The work on the bridges, which began in April, will leave a larger roadway and sidewalk as part of the $3.7 million reconstruction project. It is scheduled to last through the fall.
