MASSENA -- A Waddington woman was charged with impaired driving after allegedly showing up intoxicated at the state police barracks Monday.

Patti A. Olmstead, 52, is charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs.

Police said she arrived at the Massena state police barracks around 3:30 p.m. to get a Department of Motor Vehicles form and “was found to have consumed alcohol and numerous prescription medications.”

She consented to a blood test to determine what substances were in her system, police said.

Olmstead was released with appearance tickets for Massena Village Court on April 7 at 1:30 p.m., police said.

She could be charged further, pending the blood test results, police said.
