MASSENA -- A North Lawrence woman is jailed on a drug felony after being reported to police for allegedly using a convenience store spoon attached to a bathroom key to cook opiates.
Amber R. Bueker, 29, of U.S. Route 11 is charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felony, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor.
Massena court officials said employees at On A Roll Deli called police after she went to the bathroom in the store and returned its key, which is attached to a spoon, with the spoon burnt. She allegedly used the spoon to cook heroin or oxycodone, court officials said.
She was arrested while walking on Water Street at 11:34 a.m. Monday, court officials said.
Bueker was arraigned in Massena court by Justice Patrick Serguson and remanded to the St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, in lieu of $1,500 bail or $3,000 bond, police said.
