WADDINGTON -- A woman was flown to Burlington for treatment of injuries to her leg and chest after her motorcycle struck a haybine Saturday.
Sandra L. Fuller, 55, Lisbon, and Fred G. Mayette, 71, Waddington, were driving when the accident occurred at the intersection of Ct. Rt. 44 and McGinnis Road, St. Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies said.
A 2003 Honda motorcycle struck the rear left side of a haybine towed by a tractor, deputies said.
Witnesses reported that Fuller, driving the motorcycle, appeared distracted by something before striking the haybine, according to deputies.
Fuller reportedly suffered injuries to her right leg and chest and was taken from the scene by the Waddington Rescue Squad before being flown to Burlington, Vt. for treatment, deputies said.
