ST. REGIS FALLS – A Moira woman was jailed Thursday after allegedly throwing a cinder block through a window of a home on State Route 458 and stealing prescription medications from inside, according to state police.

State police said they arrested 30-year old Naomi R. Atkinson for second-degree burglary.

While attempting to locate Atkinson, troopers reportedly discovered she was also the suspect in a gas drive-off at Moira Mountain Mart on U.S. Highway 11 in Moira, which occurred on June 11.

Atkinson allegedly pumped $10.38 in fuel and drove off without paying.

She was later identified by store employees, police said.

Atkinson was charged with petit larceny for the gas drive-off, officers said.

She was arraigned at the Bangor court and remanded to the Franklin County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail, or $20,000 secured bond for the burglary and $500 cash or $1,000 secured bond for the larceny.

She is scheduled to appear Waverly court July 7 at 7 p.m. and Moira court July 13 at 1 p.m.
